Adrienne Celt

ADRIENNE CELT is the author of the novel The Daughters, which won the 2015 PEN Southwest Book Award, and has published short fiction in Esquire, the Kenyon Review, Puerto del Sol, and Blackbird, among other places. Dear Clarice

My own idea has a Biblical neatness about it, which I think you’ll appreciate: we plucked a star from the black sky to heat our planet, and the black sky reached back to pluck something of its own.
