Andrew Furman

Andrew Furman, the director of graduate programs in the Department of English at Florida Atlantic University, is the author of the novel Alligators May Be Present (University of Wisconsin, 2005). His memoir about his high school basketball team and the effort to desegregate the Los Angeles public schools is forthcoming next year. His shorter work has appeared in Poets & Writers, Image, and elsewhere, and he is a frequent book reviewer for the Miami Herald.
