Ann Zwinger

Ann Zwinger is the author of many books including Run, River, Run (which won the John Burroughs Award for Nature Writing), Downcanyon (which won the Western Arts Federation Award for Creative Nonfiction), and Land Above the Trees (nominated for a National Book Award). The Orion Society awarded her the John Hay Award “for achievement in writing, conservation, and education.” She has written for Audobon, Orion, and Smithsonian among other magazines, and her work has been anthologized widely. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, Herman.
