Faylita Hicks

Faylita Hicks is an activist, writer, and interdisciplinary artist. They are the author of HoodWitch, released by Acre Books in 2019, a finalist for the 2020 Lambda Literary Award for Bisexual Poetry, the 2019 Balcones Poetry Prize, and the 2019 Julie Suk Award. Their work has appeared in or is forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Longreads, Poetry, Slate, Texas Observer, Yale Review, and others.
