Jessica Bane Robert, a native of Bethel, Maine, and recent graduate of the Stonecoast MFA program, is completing a mixed-genre memoir about growing up off the grid in a log cabin built by her father. A selection from this manuscript won the 2007 Editor’s Choice Prize for the Writecorner Press Poetry Contest; another was published in the anthology, A Walk Through My Garden (Outrider Press, 2007). She has taught creative writing to students of all ages for over ten years, and is currently teaching at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she resides.
