Johanna Skibsrud is the author of the 2010 Scotiabank Giller Prize–winning novel The Sentimentalists (W. W. Norton, 2011), and two collections of poetry. A collection of her short fiction, This Will Be Difficult to Explain and Other Stories, will be published by Norton in April. Originally from Nova Scotia, she currently lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she is working toward the completion of her PhD in English literature and her second novel.
