María de León

María de León is a poet and translator, born and based in Mexico City. She has been a Letras Latinas Scholar at the Community of Writers and is currently a recipient of the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas fellowship in Mexico City, where she is assembling her first collection of poems in Spanish. “The Shah’s Portable Gardens” is her first published essay.
