Safiya Sinclair

Safiya Sinclair was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Her first full-length collection, Cannibal, won the 2015 Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Poetry and is forthcoming from the University of Nebraska Press in 2016. She is the recipient of a 2016 Whiting Writers’ Award, and the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation. Her poems appear in Poetry, the Kenyon Review, the Nation, Boston Review, Gulf Coast, TriQuarterly, and New England Review.*
