Toni Tipton-Martin

Toni Tipton-Martin is the curator of a traveling exhibit, blog, and forthcoming book, The Jemima Code (in which the essay in this issue will appear), all of which celebrate the legacy of African American cooks and their cookbooks. She is the first African American food editor of a major daily newspaper, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and was formerly the nutrition writer for the Los Angeles Times and a contributing editor to Heart & Soul.
