Viridescent

Of an emerald blur I could distinguish no sense
save names and purposes.
Wolf’s foot, stag’s horn, running pine,
whose spores are flash-explosive.
Fiddleheads, ash for forest glass.
Resurrection fern, one hundred years without water.
