Ash Huang

Ash Huang is published in Apparition Literary Magazine, Orion’s Belt, Alien Magazine, Catapult, and elsewhere. Her novel-in-progress won the Diverse Worlds Grant from the Speculative Literature Foundation. She is an alum of Roots. Wounds. Words. Inc., the Tin House Workshop, and the Periplus Fellowship.

None of my family came to stop me, to warn or lecture me, so I dangled my fingers into the dark, wet glitter of it. Up close it was more beautiful than I’d been led to believe, sheening and iridescent, like a spilled bottle of nail polish.
