Sophia Stid

Sophia Stid is a contributing editor of Ecotone. She was formerly the Ecotone Postgraduate Fellow at UNC Wilmington, where she taught creative writing and served as associate editor for the magazine. Her microchapbook Whistler’s Mother was published by Bull City Press in October 2021, and her chapbook But For I Am a Woman won the fall 2022 Host Publications Chapbook Prize. Her work has been supported by fellowships from Vanderbilt University, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and the North Carolina Writers’ Network. Recent work can be found in Best New Poets, Poetry Daily, and Pleiades.
