Menu Menu Robert Root is the editor of the anthologies Landscapes With Figures: The Nonfiction of Place and, with Michael Steinberg, The Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction. He is also the author of the critical study E. B. White: The Emergence of an Essayist and Recovering Ruth: A Biographer’s Tale. His creative nonfiction works-in-progress are set along the Front Range of Colorado, the Hudson and Rhine Rivers, and the Erie Canal.
